Acoustic Elegance Meets Textile Craft

At 3daysofdesign 2025, Dansk Lydisolering (Danish Acoustics) and Kjellerup Væveri (Kjellerup Weavery) joined forces to create a shared exhibition featuring panel curtains mounted on AP 5001 curtain tracks from Stilling. The installation became a vivid demonstration of how acoustic performance and textile elegance can complement one another in an architectural context.
FLEXIBLE AND AESTHETIC
The panel curtains from Dansk Lydisolering provide a versatile solution for spatial division, light control, and visual screening. Combined with textiles from Kjellerup Væveri, available in a variety of densities, the system allows designers to balance function and expression. Track colours and materials can also be customised to suit the specific needs of each project.

CEILING-MOUNTED AP 5001
In the exhibition, the acoustic panels were ceiling-mounted on AP 5001 curtain tracks in white, arranged in several parallel rows. Each panel is finished with a discreet top rail and a bottom weight in either aluminium or wood. AP 5001 is offered in three collection colours, but can also be custom-lacquered to match project-specific requirements.
ARCHITECTURAL FLEXIBILTY
The panels can be freely repositioned, enabling varied screening of glass partitions, windows, or meeting rooms. This flexibility makes it possible to transform the character of a space, introduce light zoning, and shield selected areas—without closing the room entirely. It is an ideal solution for architectural settings where openness and discretion must go hand in hand.
SCULPTURAL ROOM DIVIDERS
The setup allows the panels to work both as flexible curtains and as striking room dividers. When not in use, they can be parked discreetly along the wall, requiring only minimal depth. This duality makes them both functional and sculptural within the space.
LIGHT- FILTERING ELEGANCE
The textiles, woven by Kjellerup Væveri, were chosen in a colour palette suited for both residential and professional interiors. Available in varying levels of transparency—from highly sheer to nearly opaque—the fabrics provide privacy while allowing daylight to filter gently through the room.
