3daysofdesign 2025 invite

For 3daysofdesign 2025, Stilling presented Transparency in Motion – a special exhibition by Danish scenographer Maja Ziska exploring the dynamic interplay between responsible curtain design and sensory spatial experiences.

With over a decade of experience in spatial and visual design, Maja Ziska transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary. And invited visitors to step into a world where light, colour, movement, and materiality merged in a tactile and immersive installation.

The exhibition was rooted in the design ethos of Stilling and KURAGE – and in our shared commitment to responsible products: curtain fabrics and tracks made from recycled materials. Here, transparency is more than a feature – it is a design and material philosophy.

TRANSPARENCY & RESPONSIBILITY

Transparency in Motion embraced the 3daysofdesign 2025 theme “Keep it real” in the most literal sense. The exhibition showcased Stilling’s design, highlighting our curtain tracks made from recycled materials, combined with the latest technology to enhance inclusion, functionality, and ambiance. The curtain fabrics from KURAGE were likewise crafted from recycled materials.

Transparency is thus interpreted in multiple ways – through material choices, the openness and movement of the scenography, and our commitment to transparency in how we operate as a company and engage with the world around us.

SCENOGRAPHY BY MAJA ZISKA

How can something as technical as curtain tracks be transformed into a sensory and immersive space?
Scenographer Maja Ziska has created an exhibition where textiles, movement, light, and colour unfold in layers – and where curtain tracks and fabrics meet in a series of spatial compositions.

“We approached the showroom as a sequence of rooms, exploring different ways to implement curtain design – qualities such as framing, dividing, and shaping spatial flows.”

Each section of the showroom becomes a small stage, inviting visitors into a journey through colour, material, and suspension. Visitors don’t simply pass by – they move through layers that invite both progression and pause. It’s a scenographic experience, where each room offers a distinct perspective, atmosphere, and rhythm.

DESIGN TALKS

As part of the Transparency in Motion exhibition, the mini talk Curtain Design a a Dynamic Element in Contemporary Architecture delved into the role of curtain design in modern architecture. Today, flexibility, aesthetics and responsibility are key design values – and curtains are no longer passive backdrops. Instead, they act as spatial tools that define atmosphere, regulate light, and support both emotional and functional needs in offices, hotels and private homes.

With bespoke curtain systems from Stilling®, architecture gains a new layer of responsiveness. Intelligent curtain solutions can enhance spatial dynamics, support sustainable practices, and unlock new creative freedom for architects and designers. Contact us for more info on how the perception of curtains can shift from soft detail to architectural statement.
