A PLAY WITH LIGHT AND COLOURS
In 2022, Stilling again exhibited at Copenhagen’s major design event 3daysofdesign. From 15 to 17 June we occupied the National Museum’s historic building, the Lapidarium of Kings, as part of the DDcated design hub.
Together with 50 Danish design brands, we aimed to inspire visitors with a world of interior design in beautiful, historic surroundings.

REMEMBER TO PLAY
The theme for 3daysofdesign 2022 was “Remember to play” and we took that quite literally, using our trackss and cornices in some rather alternative ways:
We created a mikado light lamp from AP 1905 Piet Hein LED tracks, a “curtain” made from AP 0520 tracks, and a triple cornice in Hydro CIRCAL aluminium with CIRCLE curtain fabric from Almedahls.
A curved AP 5001 in the colour Glowing Mountrouge from Nordsjö became, together with incandescent bulbs, a pretty room divider. And our beautiful, square Horisont deco track in chrome was cutin a zigzag pattern. Both tracks carried exquisite fabrics from Almedahls.

Naturally, we also showcased the possibilities we offer for custom colouring:
The Piet Hein tracks were wet painted in colours from the Glowing Mountrouge palette from Jotun and the AP 520 tracks were painted in their Strandsand palette.
The cornices were given the beautiful colour “Apple Grove” from Nordsjö.

CURTAIN DESIGN ALL OVER TOWN
Stilling participated at 3daysofdesign with DDcated design hub. But we are also lucky enough to have a plethora of talented business partners and during the festival you could experience our curtain tracks in several places around Copenhagen. We went with photographer Pernille Greve to capture some of their beautiful curtain design.
LAPI … WHAT ?
Lapis means stone and a lapidarium is an exhibition or collection of stones. In the lapidarium of the Kings you will find a collection of royal stone sculptures from the 16th-18th centuries. The lapidarium of the Kings is situated in Christian IV’s old brewery and consists of more than 350 royal sculptures.
The sculptures have have originally been located in the royal gardens, squares and castles but have now moved into Bryghuset’s rustic vaults. And during 3daysofdesign, the royal sculptures were again joined by DDcated design hub – and Stilling.
