STILLING EXHIBITING IN NEW YORK
Stilling participated together with a number of other Danish brands in Circular City Week 2022 in New York. We were excited to experience the great interest in responsible, Danish design. And to help represent Denmark at the festival.
Denmark is a pioneer in sustainable resources and the use of recycled materials. It was therefore obvious that two delegations were present during the United States’ largest festival of the circular economy: Circular City Week 2022.
AP 2500 / Natural Clay
The festival consisted of a series of events and activities with both local and international stakeholders. It focused on recycling, reuse and upcycling, particularly in interior design.
IN GREAT COMPANY
Stilling exhibited with a number of other Danish brands at the New York Design Center. We were surrounded by beautiful furniture in recycled wood from We Do Wood and Skovby Furniture. As well as in recycled plastic from FRITZ HANSEN and SMALLrevolution. And not least of 100% Cradle to Cradle-certified products from Ege carpets, as well as refurbished electronics from Bang & Olufsen .
REUSED MATERIALS
Our exhibition was based on the AP 2005 curtain track. It debuted in a new version with a higher proportion of reused materials across the entire finished product.
Thetrack is still made of Hydro CIRCAL® with 75% reused aluminum from Norsk Hydro, produced exclusively with renewable energy. But it now also has plastic accessories in 100% reused nylon: End cap 4087, bracket 4034 and glider 4050.
We brought the AP 2005 track in the colours black, Coastal Blue and brushed steel for the exhibition. Of course with accessories in matching colours. All part of our SUSTAIN collection of responsible products.
The CIRCAL® aluminium is constantly finding its way into more and more of our products, and it continuously replaces conventional aluminium in our SUSTAIN™ portfolio.
We have as many as 11 curtain tracks in production in Hydro CIRCAL® and more on the way. In addition, we are currently developing more accessories in recycled materials.
