HOW TO CREATE HOTEL-STYLE CURTAINS
Hotel curtains, or double-layered curtains, are a popular request from architects, interior designers and end users alike. These curtains feature a combination of a dense blackout fabric paired with a lightweight, transparent fabric, creating both function and aesthetic appeal.
There are several ways to achieve this luxurious look, depending on the type of curtain track system used. Below is a detailed guide on how to create hotel-style double-layered curtains.

1) USE A BESPOKE CORNICE
Cornices are experiencing a resurgence in modern interior design, reclaiming their place as a stylish feature after years of neglect. For hotel curtains with a cornice, two separate tracks are mounted, spaced just enough to allow the curtains to pass behind each other seamlessly. Once installed, the custom cornice provides a clean, sophisticated finish by concealing the tracks and blocking out any remaining light.
REDESIGNED STYLE
Designers are now shifting away from covering cornices with fabric. Instead, many prefer to paint or lacquer them in the same colour as the walls or ceiling for a sleek, unified look. If you choose a cornice from Stilling®, instead of covering it with fabric in the traditional way, you can choose to paint or lacquer it in the same colour as the walls or ceiling. This gives a streamlined and cohesive look. Of course, you can also simply use the cornices in the collection colours of white or silver.

2) USE A MULTI-TRACK PROFILE
A multi-track profile is another excellent option for double-layered curtains. These profiles feature more than one gliding track within the same frame, making them a practical choice for those looking to streamline the process. By using a single profile, time is saved in both production and installation.
Multi-track profiles come in various widths, catering to different styles of curtains. For example, pleated curtains require less space than wave curtains, allowing for the combination of both within the same track. However, keep in mind that multitrack systems are typically unsuitable for installations requiring bends or curves, as they are primarily designed for straight setups.

3) USE TWO SINGLE TRACKS SIDE BY SIDE
The simplest and most classic way to achieve hotel-style curtains is by mounting two matching curtain tracks side by side. This setup allows for enough space to hang two sets of wave curtains, creating a layered and elegant look.
DIRECT MOUNTING
When selecting tracks for this purpose, opt for ones designed for direct mounting, which eliminates the need for visible brackets, resulting in a cleaner finish. Additionally, using two single tracks has the advantage of flexibility, as they can be bent or milled to accommodate the unique needs of the space.
