From White Supporting Role to Colorful Leading Role
Press Release 13/04/2023
For many years, curtain tracks have remained discreet and white – a convention that first-movers are now challenging in favor of colored tracks that make a statement. These bold designs take center stage with an artistic presence, whether in true folklore, tone-on-tone aesthetics, or striking shades like Indian Yellow, as seen here.
In a brand-new concrete building on Islands Brygge, a renowned interior architect presents her take on the latest trend. With a confident touch, she has colored a classic curtain track with hidden gliders in Indian Yellow, pairing it with coarse-woven linen in the same shade. While the track features a high gloss-finish, the linen remains completely matte—A striking contrast that makes the tracks stand out even more, elegantly framing the vibrant life unfolding on the waters of Copenhagen’s inner harbor.
The interior architect has chosen to extend the yellow track and yellow linen into the portière, designed to camouflage an unremarkable white back staircase door
