With the Sky Above and the Sea Below

It feels as if the apartment is embraced by the sky and the sea. A sensation enhanced by the milled curtain tracks that ripple along the walls. Here, it’s not just the water that undulates; the curtain’s wave folds do as well. An animation of the view, masterfully captured by Stilling with its custom curved rods, ensuring the perfect curtains.
50 SHADES OF GREY
The large room with its many windows is in constant motion. It is the heart of the apartment. The place where food, conversation, and stories come to life. For this reason, the interior architect found it essential to create a space that embraces the same sense of changeability.
She achieved this by selecting a colour as dynamic as its surroundings – shade of gray that shifts throughout the day, reflecting hints of yellow, green, red, and blue. Walls, textiles, and curtain tracks transform in harmony with the ever-changing sky and sea.
CONTROL LIGHT AND HEAT
Just as a summer day can bring intense warmth, a winter night can feel equally cold if the curtains are not drawn. Curtains provide the necessary flexibility for living in a building with large windows that retain heat while also letting in the cold. To enhance adaptability, the fabric is divided into multiple sections, allowing for partial use depending on the sun’s position in the sky.
The chosen curtains feature a semi-transparent textile, allowing light to filter through even when drawn.
The interior designer has selected a ceiling-mounted curtain track with concealed gliders in the same muted gray tone as the walls and textiles, creating a harmonious look. This is contrasted by furniture from the Danish design heritage, upholstered in a bold blue hue.
