WHAT’S BEHIND
THE B?
Stilling® has been an officially certified B Corporation since the end of 2022, with re-certification completed at the end of 2025.
Being a B Corp company means that Stilling meets high, internationally recognised standards for social and environmental responsibility, transparency and responsible business practices. These standards are assessed and verified by an independent third party. It also means that we are part of a global network of companies known as the B Corp movement.
A GLOBAL MOVEMENT
B Corp is a global movement that uses business as a force for positive change. It is a community of companies working towards a more responsible economy – one that creates value for both people and the planet.
The ‘B’ stands for Benefit – for people and the planet – not just shareholders.
Today, there are more than 10,000 B Corps worldwide, collectively representing over 1 million jobs (source: B Lab Global, 2022, B Impact Assessment v1.6).
In the Nordic region alone, there are 180 B Corps – and the number continues to grow.
FULL TRANSPARENCY
Being a Certified B Corporation means that Stilling meets B Lab’s ambitious and comprehensive standards for social and environmental impact. It also means that we have made a legal commitment to run our business with consideration for the planet – not just our own interests.
In addition, we have demonstrated a high level of accountability and transparency by publishing the results of our assessments in a public B Corp profile.
PROUD TO BE B
Stilling is proud to be a Certified B Corporation – and the first company in our industry to join the B Corp movement.
Companies are assessed across five impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. Performance is measured on a points-based scale, where a minimum of 80 points is required for B Corp certification.
We progressed from a strong initial B Impact Score of 89.2 at our first certification to a high-impact score of 111.4 at re-certification.
OUR IMPACT IN PRACTICE
Our 25% improvement is broadly anchored across the business, with particularly strong progress within environmental impact, employee conditions and community engagement. Examples include:
-
We create jobs for vulnerable citizens through an inclusive production model.
-
Our SUSTAIN™-labelled curtain tracks are made from a minimum of 75% recycled aluminium, produced using renewable energy. This reduces the need for mining and deforestation.
-
We have relocated aluminium production from Asia to Europe, reducing CO₂ emissions and increasing transparency across the value chain.
PART OF OUR DNA
B Corp is an integral part of the way we design, produce and run our business.
Both certifications have been important milestones for us and help ensure that we continue to grow as a responsible business.
A business that, in the future, gives more back than it takes.
