A CHANGING WORLD AND BUSINESS
As a natural part of our work with responsible business, we joined the UN Global Compact in 2021. We thus undertook to both implement 10 universal principles and to report annually with a CoP report (Communication on Progress) .
The 10 principles provide a common ethical and practical framework for companies’ responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. They are based on international conventions and agreements.
The principles form our foundation, together with four carefully selected UN global goals for sustainable development. And together with a focus on the triple bottom line and with an unwavering ambition for meaningful growth.
HOW CAN WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
When we started working on purposeful growth we asked ourselves; “What is the most important thing we can do in the world, and for the world, with the skills and resources we have available right now?
This has so far resulted in several concrete both environmental and social activities and measures, which has been carried out successfully and rooted in the organization, and which we are therefore pleased to highlight in our CoP report.
We are proud of the areas of action we have already positively influenced, thanks to a fantastic effort from our dedicated colleagues across the organisation, who work every day to create positive changes for the people and environments we are part of. But at the same time we are very aware that we still have a long way to go.
Our business strategy is based on four central promises and areas of action. Through these, we commit to taking responsibility for our actions today, so that future generations have the opportunity to live good and dignified lives.
