Stilling and Nadia Olive Schnack

Press release 22/05/2024

Dutch White, Avalon, and Comice are nuanced alternatives to white, black, and grey, and are also Nadia Olive Schnack’s favourite colours. According to the interior designer, these colours enrich a home with personality, depth, and character. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that Stilling announces their collaboration with Nadia during 3DaysofDesign, featuring curtain rods in these three colours.

Many believe that successful interior design relies on the right amount of black, white, and grey, but not interior designer Nadia Olive Schnack. She prefers to create atmosphere, elegance, and timelessness with carefully selected colours.

DUTCH WHITE, PLUM, AND PEAR

Nadia uses Dutch White as others would use white because its pastel blue hue creates character, hope, and smiles. Instead of black, she recommends Avalon – a deep plum colour that ties all colours, expressions, and patterns together into a special tableau. Finally, she uses Comice instead of grey, as its greenish-yellow pear colour unifies the many shades of a home into an aesthetic whole – just like a pear tree does in the garden.

Once a curtain rod or track from Stilling is measured, curved, and installed, it often stays in place thanks to its timeless design and high quality. This is rarely the case with a curtain, which can wear out in both quality and appearance. Therefore, Stilling welcomes the trend of incorporating tracks and rods as part of the home’s colour palette since they can easily be given new colours. This is why Stilling has partnered with Nadia to expand their colour palette.

CURTAIN TRACKS AND TEXTILES IN HARMONY

In Denmark, curtain rods rarely have colours or distinctive finials, but for Nadia Olive Schnack, both elements highlight individuality while adding an elegant grandeur to the curtain, ceiling, and interior design. As the interior designer says, “It is only possible to create beautiful curtains if rods and textiles are in harmony and given equal importance.”

Since 1949, Stilling has developed and specialised their tracks to such an extent that it is possible to choose exactly the form or colour that best complements the curtains and the room.

“We look forward to introducing the world to a unique palette that has never been seen before in our 75-year family history. Told with emotions and craftsmanship by Nadia Olive Schnack,” says Stilling’s CEO, Thomas Trads Hansen.
