HAUTE COUTURE AESTHETIC
Durup’s haute couture aesthetic, infused with a lively sense of joie de vivre, is evident in the curtain design at the “White Writings” exhibition. The design showcases an innovative use of double-sided curtains draped elegantly on HS 2000 Prestige deco curtain tracks in burnished brass. The double-sided curtains add an extra dimension to the design and enable a versatile display of fabric and colour.
DECORATIVE TIE-BACKS
The curtains also feature elegant tiebacks, adding a functional yet decorative touch that exemplifies Durup’s attention to detail. The luxurious curtains cover sheer café curtains, creating a cozy and elegant ambiance. Known for their exquisite fabric selections, Dedar’s collaboration with Durup proves that when haute couture meets home decor, the results are nothing short of spectacular.
PERFECT WAVES
The windows facing the street also feature HS 2000 Prestige curtain tracks in burnished brass. The round curtain track looks like a curtain rod while offering the opportunity to use the Stilling Perfect Wave technology. Carrying loosely woven Dedar sheers, cascading in beautiful ripplefolds, it provides layered privacy while still allowing light to permeate the space. The choice of burnished brass for the curtain rods adds a warm, refined glow that harmoniously blends with both the sheer and opaque double-layered fabrics, as well as with the dark window frames.
TURNING FABRIC INTO FASHION
Durup believes that custom drapery is not just an element of good design but its cornerstone. “White Writings” is a testament to turning fabric into home fashion. Each curtain displayed is more than a panel of textile—it is a statement of luxury, style, and the transformative power of well-conceived design.
