STILLING AWARDED COMPANY OF THE YEAR

Press release: 30/01/2024

BRØNDBY MUNICIPALITY HAS NAMED DESIGN COMPANY STILLING AS “COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2023”

On January 29th, Mayor Kent Magelund presented the “Company of the Year 2023” award to Stilling A/S at a private ceremony at the company’s headquarters. The award is a tribute to companies that make a special effort to give vulnerable individuals a chance in the labour market.

AWARDED FOR EFFORTS WITH VULNERABLE CITIZENS

Initially, Stilling was nominated for the award by the job center in Brøndby, with whom the company has had a long-term collaboration that accelerated with the establishment of a special production unit for vulnerable citizens, who due to physical, psychological, or social challenges are far from the labour market. The unit is named “the inclusive production” as a symbol of its inclusiveness.

“Stilling was chosen as the Company of the Year because you have shown extraordinary social responsibility. Thank you for that – and thank you for the good cooperation between Stilling and Brøndby Municipality in recent years. You are this year’s winner, due to your great work with creating job opportunities at Jobcenter Brøndby, for certain groups of people who are far from the labour market, and who need extra support to be able to hold a job,” Mayor Kent Magelund stated in his award speech.

To support the citizens in the inclusive production unit, Stilling has employed a full-time, specially trained mentor who, in close cooperation with the municipality, secures optimal working conditions for employees with special needs.

PART OF A LARGER WHOLE

The award as “Company of the Year” is a recognition of the social work Stilling carries out in its local community, which at the same time constitutes one of several areas of effort the company is working with.

“At Stilling, we consciously choose to adhere to a triple bottom line, meaning that we prioritize the environment and social community equally to running a profitable business. Our inclusive production unit has evolved beyond an experiment; it is now a permanent contribution to the local community. This award beautifully symbolizes our rewarding collaboration with Brøndby Municipality,” says owners Rasmus Stilling-Schütz and Thomas Trads Hansen.

Stilling will continue the development of the inclusive production unit in collaboration with the surrounding municipalities. Additionally, the company announces their commitment to ensuring that a minimum of 10% of its permanent workforce is comprised of individuals employed under special conditions.
