The Conary townhouse in Copenhagen is a unique blend of network, office, home and hospitality. Nestled within this historic setting, the ‘Enter the Salon’ joint exhibition emerged as a highlight of 3daysofdesign 2024. Curated by Signe Hytte, the event melded design, art, and poetry, creating an environment where the echoes of the past blended seamlessly with contemporary visions.
CURTAINS IN THE COURTYARD
For the exhibition, Arne Aksel created a beautiful curtain installation in the large covered atrium courtyard in collaboration with Stilling, who provided our stylish, custom-fitted AP 5001 curtain tracks in recycled aluminium.

AESTHETIC FUNCTIONALITY
Spanning around 30 meters, our custom-curved AP 5001 tracks are skillfully adapted to the grand contours of the serene atrium courtyard at the Conary. The Stilling Curtain tracks allow for a fluid, seamless fit of the floor-to-ceiling, textured white curtains from Kvadrat They not only enhance the architectural elegance of the space but also provide functional benefits.
TEXTILES & LIGHT
Serving as both a backdrop and a focal point, the curtains introduce a dynamic play of light and texture, perfectly complementing the stunning layered textile Altostratus lamps from Ladies & Gentlemen Studio. The installation creates a soft, diffused light, interacting beautifully with the interior and contributing to the thematic narrative of the room.
PERFECT BALANCE
The curtain installation underscores the adaptability and aesthetic appeal of our AP 5001 tracks, illustrating how thoughtfully crafted design elements can transform a space. The Conary atrium courtyard is a beautiful example of the versatility and aesthetic appeal of curtain solutions, with a perfect balance between functionality and artistic expression.
