Art and functionality intertwine in the “Trapped in Heaven” textiles by acclaimed artist Danh Vo in collaboration with Kvadrat. Being the first edition of the Kvadrat Limited range, they were introduced in a stunning installation featuring curtains on bespoke AP 9001 S curtain tracks in Danh Vo’s Berlin apartment.

SCULPTURAL CURTAINS

“Trapped in heaven” is a sculptural, calligraphic curtain that is intimately intertwined with one of the artist’s most profound artworks, a heartfelt collaboration with his father, Phung Vo.

The curtain installation by Danh Vo features our AP 9001 S curtain tracks, known for their strength and adaptability. The tracks are mounted on our wire suspension creating an airy, floating feeling. They carry the beuatiful limited edition fabrics, weaving through every room and, in some instances, appearing to be traversing walls.

ROUND CURTAIN TRACK

The AP 9001 S is a unique round curtain track, offering the functionality of a track and the look of a classic curtain rod. I the living rooms, the curtain tracks are adorned with wave gliders, creating beautiful ripplefolds. The bedrooms embrace another approach, with the fabrics mounted sans gliders, but with a curtain rod pocket instead.

The result is not just an installation; it’s a unique experience where art meets functionality.

THE SOFTNESS OF NATURE

Kvadrat Limited is a convergence of art and textiles. This venture allows art enthusiasts and interior connoisseurs alike to bring home a piece of their favorite artist’s work. Thus transforming private spaces and commercial environments into art galleries.

Inspired by the “echo of colour, like a memory” which the artist encountered beneath a walnut tree, Danh Vo’s colour choices encapsulate the poetic softness of nature. “Trapped in Heaven” unfolds in four distinct colourways. Three of these, which mimic the softness of flowers, the warmth of wood, and the freshness of spring leaves, are available in a limited edition. Complementing the vibrant hues is an unlimited white version, joining Kvadrat’s standard collection.

RECYCLED MATERIALS

Not just a feast for the eyes, ‘Trapped in Heaven'” embodies sustainability. The fabric is crafted with 74% recycled polyester, transforming industrial waste into a sculptural textile. Our AP 9001 S features 75% recycled materials, perfectly  complementing this commitment to eco-friendly practice.

“Trapped in Heaven” invites you to step into a world where every room is a canvas, every curtain a masterpiece, and every space an ode to artistic collaboration.
